Valerie Fuller
DO
Dr. Fuller is an Akron native and is happy to provide care to the members of her hometown community. She is a graduate of Revere High School, Miami University, and the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in dermatology at Michigan State University, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Fuller is a licensed physician in Ohio and specializes in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic procedures. She is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and an assistant clinical professor for both Northeastern Ohio Colleges of Medicine and Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Cleveland Dermatological Society, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the Ohio Dermatologic Association.
Kim Beyer
DNP, CNP
Kim is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She is also a pediatric nurse practitioner with over 16 years of experience as a registered nurse at Akron Children's Hospital.
Kim is a graduate of Chatham University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She also graduated from Case Western Reserve University, where she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, and the University of Akron, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Ohio Association of Advance Practice Nurses. Kim joined Dr. Fuller at Fairlawn Dermatology as a nurse practitioner in 2008. She specializes in general dermatology with individuals of all ages.
Lindsay Chappell
CNP
Lindsay is a board-certified nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner and an adult/gerontological nurse practitioner. She worked as an LPN and registered nurse in acute and long-term care for eight years before joining the practice.
Lindsay graduated from The University of Akron with a Master of Science in Nursing and received a Post-Master's Certificate at Ursuline College. She also attended Kent State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Wayne County Schools Career Center, where she received her education in Practical Nursing.
She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Ohio Association of Advance Practice Nurses. Lindsay joined the practice as a nurse practitioner in 2014. She specializes in general dermatology and enjoys treating patients of all ages.
Alex Meiser
CNP
Alex is a board-certified nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as an adult/gerontological nurse practitioner. He has over nine years of experience as a registered nurse at Aultman Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Akron General.
Alex graduated from Kent State University with a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He is currently enrolled at Ursuline college, obtaining his Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner certificate to see patients of all ages.
He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Ohio Association of Advance Practice Nurses. Alex joined our practice as a certified nurse practitioner in 2020. He specializes in general dermatology and will treat patients of all ages.
Gina Knowlton
Esthetician
Gina Milano-Knowlton has been working as an esthetician since 2000. She obtained her license from Riggs LeMarr Beauty College in June of 2000. Gina has been with our practice since October 2007.
Gina has specialized training in advanced medical peels, dermaplaning, threading, micro-needling, and microdermabrasion. She also offers facials, waxing, and a large variety of acid peels. Gina takes several medical aesthetic classes throughout the year to stay informed on the latest and greatest in anti-aging techniques.
Schedule your consultation with Gina. Her hours are some Mondays 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M., Tuesdays 9:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., and some Thursdays 9:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Karin Chen
BSN, RN
Karin has worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years. More than 18 of those years have been spent in dermatology. With specialized training in laser hair removal, sclerotherapy, micro-needling, and BOTOX®, Karin focuses on the cosmetic aspects of dermatology.
She graduated from Copley High School and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Cedarville University. Karin joined Fairlawn Dermatology in 2014.
